RE: Southern Smoke Bank Holiday Party May 4
Hello,
I am new to this site - delighted to have found something like it - we are here a year now - still feeling home sick - missing the sunshine, the african vibe, the lekker kos etc minus the crime - i am married to an Irishman and now have two wonderful children. Looking forward to tomorrows braai. Helena |

Southern Smoke Bank Holiday -Disaster
Hey Guys,
Just had a really negative experience with Brian K events, it was incredibly badly organised, extremely arrogant black woman at the gate, very quick to take my money on the way in, but when my child took ill only 10 mins into the event, she refused to give us a refund as we were forced to leave, not an ounce of compassion or understanding in her money grabbing body. Brian K events do not live up to any expectation, no south african hospitality, no SA food or drink on sale, just a mangey old bouncy castle, a crappy stero and I could not believe this was supposed to be a south african event - not one friendly howzit from the people already there. I would absolutely not recommend this event company to anyone or the Southern Smoke event, they could not organise a p... up in a brewery! shoddy, amateur and only interested in getting in as much cash as opposed to arranging a friendly braai. My Irish wife and kids were shocked at the lack of friendliness and primitive manner in which this was organised. |

Yea we left about an hour after arriving because the lighter fluid on the Braai just did not seem like a good idea, the music was loud and distorted not good at all. There were no goodies on sale for the kids, very badly organised.
