Shipping company
I want to send a few boxes home - after nearly 5 years in Dublin our flat is becoming to small for all our stuff.
I phoned Seven Seas Worldwide - 1800 21 66 98. They gave me a quote for Euro400 - for 3 Tea Boxes not exceeding more then 120Kg in weight. Door to Door Delivery, they supply the boxes and it will take 8 to 10 weeks by sea. (http://www.sevenseasworldwide.com)
Is this a good price? Does anyone know of another shipment company?
I did phone DHL but their prices is even higher.
I was referred to Fast Lane but after two days of waiting for a quotation, I gave up on that option.
Please advise. Thanks

RE: Shipping company
Hi Joanna, is this to bring back from SA? As you could always bring stuff back on our container - i will just charge you for the space.

Freight / Shipping company to SA
We are going to move back to Cape Town. Yippeeee!!!

Does anyone have any experience with a freight shipping company in Dublin for sending stuff back to SA?

So far I have phoned a few places and they are so far quotes are starting at €3500. (This is without seeing our stuff) We have no big furniture, so it will just be boxes of stuff and a few bigger items.

RE: Shipping company
Lucky you!

A few months ago I moved a container from Cape Town to Wexford using Frasers International at a cost of about R50k. The clearing agent in Dublin was Oman Movers (http://www.oman.ie). They were very good. I dealt with a guy called Glen Dermot (tel: 045-886300). I'm sure he'd be able to give you a quote or at least point you in the right direction.

I also moved from Dublin to Wexford earlier this year and used a company I found online in the Golden Pages. I was majorly impressed with this guy. He collected my packed boxes and furniture at 7pm in Dublin and delivered at 10am in Saltmills the next day. I think the company was called A1 Removals or something, but am not sure if they ship internationally.

Otherwise, call the Embassy (661 5553) and ask Eretzema Moss which removal companies they use.

Hope this helps! Big Grin
