Shipping
I need some advice. We are relocating to Pretoria and we want to ship back all of our belongings. we are being quoted massively - E3,500 and such like. Is that the going rate. We have no idea if that is too much or what? we have lots of boxes full of kitchen stuff etc, 3 bikes, a matress, TV and a wooden chest a couple of paintings. I just can't believe that it costs so much.... any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!

RE: Shipping
I must say that sounds about right, my container costs R35,000 or there abouts with insurance. If you look through the forum there is contact details for Seven Seas, have a look at them as people have used them in the past.

RE: Shipping
Hi

We'll also be moving to Pretoria soon. Would be interested in sharing a container. Which movers did you get the quote from?

RE: Shipping
Hi
I have to send a parcel to SA, about 5 - 6 kg. The An Post charges seem quite high (5kg - €55); can anyone recommend some other way of shipping?
Thank you

ildi

RE: Shipping
Hi Ildi, have you tried sending it with someone that is sending a container back - or there is Unaccompanied baggage, which is sent to an airport - if you look up on-line it will give you details. Sorry, not sure what else to suggest as couriers are very expensive.

Hi Leesa. Thank you, I sent it with An Post in the end as I wanted to get there before Xmas.
I will keep that in mind for next time, thank you again.
